  (July 2015)

First off, an apology to our hard-working Newsletter Editor, Jamie DeRuiter, for my tardiness in submitting this report.  No big tours to report about this past month, and our calendar had fewer events than usual, due to the Porsche Parade that was held in French Lick, Indiana.  The Redwood Region was well-represented at Parade, with our Vice-President Craig Steele embarking on a driving tour there (I'm sure he'll regale us with his tales), and our Past-everything David Bunch being honored as Enthusiast of the year.  Thanks to Craig for the Facebook updates, and congratulations to David for recognition of the many things he does for the Club.

Nevertheless, now that we are in July, we have a full slate of events coming up.  There should be something to please all enthusiasts.  We have an autocross event, a winery driving tour, and a display of Porsches on the historic Sonoma Plaza on consecutive weekends.  Come on out, meet some of your fellow Club members, and most of all, have fun!  I'm planning to attend all of those events, so I'd welcome the opportunity to get acquainted with you.  Again, if you are interested in learning about the (massive) capabilities of your Porsche, bring it out to autocross!  We have several excellent instructors who will help you learn to exploit the performance of your car in a safe environment.  There's also a great sense of camaraderie among the participants, so a good time is guaranteed.

I hope to see you at one of the upcoming July events.
