Breakfast Run to Dillon Beach - Saturday, November 10, 2012
by Simone Kopitzki, Redwood Region Membership Director

It was pretty chilly but sunny when a small group of us (25 members and 15 cars) headed out for the last breakfast run of the year on November 10th.  We left Kaffee Mocha around 9:30 am. and Don led a very nice tour through Cazadero along the creek. After the bumpy, curvy Fort Ross Road, we arrived at the ocean. Driving along HWY 1 is still breathtaking even after all these years. It was early in the morning so there weren't many other drivers out there. No bicyclists and clear sight of the cliffs and the ocean - what a dream.

We stopped at the Jenner Visitor Center for a bio break while some of us enjoyed the scenery.  We arrived around 11:30 at Dillon Beach Café. As usual we got the nice room in the back with the view of the ocean. Breakfast was good and hearty. Don informed the group about some upcoming events, especially the Holiday Party. We enjoyed a nice drive back to Mill Valley along the coast. Thanks Don for getting the tour together. We enjoyed it very much.
